What if Monday is a holiday?
When Monday is a holiday, it is imperative that we receive your hours on the Friday prior or by 9:30 AM on Tuesday after the holiday.
It is best to call and leave a voicemail in the general mailbox detailing your name, hours and assignment before 9:30AM.
If payroll is effected by a holiday, we will give you ample notice and make other arrangements.

When is payday?
Routhier pays its temporary employees on a weekly basis, on Wednesday.
Checks are available by 12 noon and arrangements can be made to mail your paycheck or pick-up in person.

Why can't I pick up my check before noon?
Routhier checks are not prepared in our office, they are processed by an external supplier (ADP).
Our payroll is submitted electronically on Monday by 10:30 AM, in order for your checks to be ready by 12 noon on Wednesday. Thus, the 10 AM deadline on Monday.

So, I get paid every Wednesday?
If you begin an assignment on Monday, you will be paid the following Wednesday for the approved time worked.

What is "Approved Time"?
Approved time means the hours are signed for by the authorized person at your assignment.
Routhier must receive the actual signed time card, with appropriate signature, in order to release payment for work completed.
The top portion of the time card is kept for our records, the bottom is sent (by Routhier) to the client for their records.

What if I miss the deadline for reporting my hours?
You will be paid in the next pay cycle (the next Wednesday). However, call Routhier immediately to discuss the situation.

Do I get a copy of my time card?
No. We suggest keeping a copy of your time card for your personal records or future use.

Who can approve my time?
The contact person (given on your 1st day of assignment) is the authorized signature for your time.
He or she must sign the time card, unless otherwise arranged by Routhier & the Client.

What if I lose my time card?
In an emergency, simply write or type a record of your time worked. Have this document signed and return it to Routhier.
(Note: it must be the original document, no copies please.)

Can I mail my timecard in?
You can mail the time card, after adding a stamp.
However, Routhier is not responsible for any cards lost in the mail.
We suggest you call to confirm the original card was received in time, in our office.

Can my check be mailed to me?
Yes. Checks will be mailed ONLY when requested. Please contact the office to request that your check be mailed & to what address.
If a check is requested to be mailed, it is sent at end of the payday (Wednesday).
Please note: checks are mailed AT YOUR OWN RISK. Routhier is NOT responsible for checks that are mailed per your request, and are deemed lost or delayed through conditions out of Routhier's control.

What if my check is lost in the mail?
Checks are mailed AT YOUR OWN RISK.
A $25 stop-check fee will be charged for any checks that must be "stopped" and re-issued, through no-fault of Routhier.

If I work through lunch do I get overtime?
ALL OVERTIME MUST BE APPROVED BY CLIENT & AGENCY PRIOR TO DOING THE O.T.
Overtime is considered any approved working hours over 40 in a week, at a single assignment.

Is overtime mandatory?
You have the right to decline overtime if it was NOT a requirement of a committed assignment and accepted prior to taking the assignment.
